The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting Instrumentation Design efforts on commercial derivative and military aircraft programs including Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) and B52.\nBT&E is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate or Experienced level Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineers.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nDevelop designs and release engineering for flight test instrumentation installations on test aircraft using computer aided design tools like CATIA & CREO\n\nWork with program engineering teams to develop requirements, process and tool solutions and integrate instrumentation installations with production designs\n\nProvide liaison engineering support during part fabrication/assembly, aircraft build, modification, test execution, and refurbishment phases\n\nWork closely with manufacturing engineers to define engineering bill of material, address procurement and producibility concerns and assist with proper sequencing of installations during the build phase\n\nAssist with defining wire diagrams for flight test data system hookups using tools like Mentor Graphics Capital\n\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):\nAbility to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship\n\nBachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)\n\n1+ years of experience working in aerospace, defense, or similar high-tech industry\n\n1+ years of design or analysis experience on large fixed winged aircraft\n\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):\nLevel 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience\n\nExperience using CATIA\n\nExperience working with wiring diagrams and/or functional schematics\n\nDrug Free Workplace:\nBoeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.\nConflict of Interest:\nSuccessful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.\nShift:\nThis role is primarily first shift; however, there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives.\nPay & Benefits:\nAt Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
