This includes overseeing final component installation, systems operation functional testing, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, preflight and postflight checks, release for flight, and preparation for customer delivery.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nEnsures that air vehicles are completed and pass certification for airworthiness\nInterfaces with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and ensure customer acceptance\nDevelops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals\nAcquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements\nDevelops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports\nProvides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes\nManages, coaches, leads, develops and motivates employees\nPossesses a mindset of safety, quality, continuous improvement & teamwork\nInfluences the team to exhibit Boeing Values and Behaviors\nBoeing First-Line Leader Assessment:\nTo be considered for this position, you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):\nCandidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course 'Exploring Leadership'\n3+ years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or equivalent military experience\n3+ years of experience leading production system and/or process improvements (i.e. Lean, fab production system, improve job practices, techniques and standards) \nWillingness to work any shift based on needs of the operation\nWillingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):\nPossess an A&P or Repairman Certificate or minimum 18 months of practical, hands-on maintenance experience to qualify for an FAA Repairman Certificate in the type of maintenance to be performed\n3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal or informal role\n3+ years of experience working directly with airline customers\n3+ years of flight line operations experience & functional test knowledge\n3+ years of experience with any of the following: avionics, troubleshooting capabilities, release, ticket experience, manufacturing, and/or structures\n3+ years of proficiency using CMES and Velocity software (or similar industry software)\n5+ years of experience in the aerospace industry\nBachelor's degree or higher\nConflict of Interest:\nSuccessful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.\nShift:\nThis position is for a variable shift (shift 4).
