We work with both commercial and proprietary customers in the development of the next-generation technologies in space. Our team focuses on rapid prototyping to demonstrate a host of mission-focused technologies for a variety of customers. Our group works all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, proposal writing, requirements, design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments.\nThe Ground SEIT Engineer will join a high-performing team that is immersed in high intensity development projects. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work proprietary programs for U.S. government customers who are responsible for exciting advanced technology national security missions.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nEvaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces\nDefines and develops test requirements, test plans, procedures, and schedules\nPerforms real-time testing and anomaly resolution\nLeads test execution, data analysis, and preparation of test results to support verification and validation\nLeads analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture\nLeads analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success\nLeads, develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, RIO (risk, issues, opportunity) management, and technology readiness assessment processes\nInterface with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and external customers\nThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):\nActive Top Secret/SCI security clearance with an adjudicated CI polygraph or FS\nBachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science\n5+ years of experience with Systems Engineering processes and principles such as system architecture, interface definition, and requirements definition, decomposition, verification, and validation\n1+ years of experience leading or managing an engineering project or team\n1+ Experience performing system integration and test\n1+ Experience creating systems engineering technical documents such as test procedures, test reports, verification artifacts, and discrepancy/anomaly reports\nExperience with Ground Systems Engineering \nMust be willing and able to travel occasionally to support customer needs (10%)\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):\nLevel 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.\nExperience with development of Command and Control, Mission Management, and Mission Planning software systems for Ground Systems\nExperience with Ground Systems Maintenance and Modernization\nExperience with virtual Ground station hardware\nExperience in software coding and troubleshooting\nExperience with JIRA and Confluence\nExperience working with Government customers\nTypical Education/Experience:\nExperienced Level 3\nEducation/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
