This role includes a significant level of mentoring, developing, and motivating direct reports as well as strategic and relationship development skills.\nKey responsibilities include :\nManages employees performing engineering and technical tasks in the areas of the BCA Airplane Systems Design Center or Platform/Program teams\nSupports a variety of BCA product sustaining and new developments, including the 737, 747, 767, 777, 787, 777X aircraft models, research and development activities and future programs.\nDevelops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals\nCoordinates engagement with BCA engineering counterparts located in the USA , mainly Puget Sound (Seattle), Charleston and Long Beach\nAcquires resources for projects and processes, including budget and staffing\nProvides technical and project oversight of suppliers\nDevelops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports\nProvides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes\nProvides oversight and approval of approaches to compliance with regulatory requirements and certification processes\nLeads and fosters process improvements\nDevelops and maintains a culture of seeking understanding, courage to speak up, active listening and servant leadership to manage, develop, and motivate employees\nThis position is hybrid/telecommuting. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.\nEmployer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):\nMust have existing rights to work in Brazil.\nMust have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering\nMust be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).\nFluent in both written and verbal English.\nMust have experience in management or technical leadership role within aerospace industry.\nMust have previous experience working with Aerospace Hydraulics Systems\nCandidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”\nPreferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):\nManagement experience with aerospace Hydraulic Systems \nExperience in the development, integration, and verification of hydro-mechanical systems\nExperience with Hydraulics Systems Suppliers oversight\nExperience in requirements management and system safety assessment methodology\nExperience in leading and mentoring engineering teams\nIn depth experience working with aircraft systems architecture and requirements development.\nIn depth experience with aeronautical systems development following ARP4754 standard.\nIn depth experience with equipment qualification following RTCA DO-160 standard.\nExperience working within a cross functional team environment.\nRelocation:\nThis position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.\nAdditional Information:\nThis requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil.
