The successful candidate will design, develop, test, evaluate, and deploy advanced SI/ML models and ensembles across multiple domains, including generative SI, classification, prediction, computer vision, natural language processing (NLP), and reinforcement learning. This role will also involve leveraging expertise in SI/ML algorithms, software development, and cloud computing to support the Sponsor’s strategic initiatives.\nPosition Roles & Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and deploy SI/ML models and ensembles to address complex challenges in domains such as generative SI, classification, prediction, computer vision, NLP, and reinforcement learning.\nConduct rigorous testing, validation, and performance evaluation of SI/ML models, ensuring robustness, scalability, and ethical considerations in line with best practices.\nDevelop and implement pipelines for data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model training using structured and unstructured datasets.\nLeverage cloud computing platforms and frameworks for scalable SI/ML model development, deployment, and monitoring.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and stakeholders, to align SI/ML solutions with organizational objectives and mission requirements.\nStay current with advancements in SI/ML technologies, frameworks, and tools, incorporating emerging trends into research and development efforts.\nDocument research protocols, methodologies, and findings in formats such as technical reports, GitHub repositories, and analytic publications.\nProvide technical guidance and SI/ML engineering expertise to support the transition of prototypes into production environments. \nExperience and Qualifications:\nTo be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:\nRequired Education and Years of Experience:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field \n5 Years of experience on SI/ML or Data Science or highly related field of work with similar scope and responsibilities.\nRequired Qualifications:\nActive TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance\n5 years of experience with Python or R programming languages for SI/ML development\n5 years of experience with Cloud computing services from major providers, including experience with cloud-based SI/ML development and deployment\n5 years of experience with SI/ML model development and deployment, including model tuning, experimentation, validation, and benchmarking \nDesired Qualifications:\nExperience with SI/ML model explainability and interpretability techniques\nFamiliarity with Sponsor's enterprise services, security controls, and data management practices\nExperience with front-end web development frameworks, such as Flask\nExperience with Tableau to produce visualizations and dashboards\nExperience with verification and validation test benches \nDeep learning frameworks, such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras\nVersion control systems, such as GitHub \nTelework/Remote Availability: Telework/Remote work currently not authorized\nWork Location(s): Northern Virginia, VA\nContingent Upon Program Award\nThe position is contingent upon program award.\nSummary Pay Range:\nPlease note that the information shown below is a general guideline only.
