Your expertise in areas such as Aerodynamics; Propulsion; Guidance, Navigation & Control; and Loads & Dynamics will drive the future of aerospace.\nPosition Responsibilities\nDefine Guidance, Navigation and Control mission requirements and ensure requirements traceability and quality from the system level to component level\n\nUse multidisciplinary model data (aero, mass properties, propulsion, etc.) to develop and refine a complex, nonlinear, 6 degrees of freedom simulation model\n\nUse various software languages, C, C++, FORTRAN, Python, etc. to develop, implement, integrate and test vehicle models and controllers\n\nDesign flight control laws using modern linear control design techniques and tools to achieve design and performance targets\n\nUse advanced nonlinear analysis to assess and refine the control law design\n\nPerform model validation against test data to inform and improve the accuracy of the simulation environment\n\nDevelop supplementary controllers, limiters, mode logic, and signal shaping to properly bound the performance within all areas of the flight envelope\n\nWork with flight simulation and Vehicle Management Systems (VMS) software engineers to incorporate control laws into the operational flight program\n\nSupport flight simulations including desktop, software, and real time simulations\n\nSupport hardware in the loop development and testing\n\nSupport flight testing planning and execution\n\nLead design reviews, analyses, simulations and component/system testing to ensure delivery of products that meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations\n\nTrain and coach others\n\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):\nBachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement\n\n14+ years work-related experience with a Bachelors degree OR an equivalent combination of work-related experience and technical education.\n\n5+ years of experience with Guidance Navigation and Control engineering\n\nExperience using Matlab/Simulink or MatrixX to model systems\n\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):\nActive U.S. Secret Security Clearance or higher\n\nExperience with simulation, system and component modeling\n\nExperience with implementing algorithms in real time systems\n\nHardware in the Loop Simulator (HILS) experience\n\nPrior experience in flight test support\n\nRelocation:\nThis position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
