This position coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product's systems and mechanical requirements, guide product design and verifies systems functional integrity by using analytical methods, such as schematic validation tools and processes, hand calculations, design reviews and other analysis tools (CEEDS, CAWS, Mentor Capital, CREO, etc.) throughout the product life cycle. The position will be part of a small team of wire harness engineers to provide support, mentorship, and help define priorities. This position is located in El Segundo, CA.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nSupport system design, integration, and verification activities across multiple platforms and subsystems\n\nDevelop and maintain system documentation, interface control documents, and integration plans\n\nPerform system-level troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution to ensure operational readiness\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, and test engineers to resolve integration challenges\n\nMentor early career engineers as appropriate\n\nParticipate in design reviews, test planning, and execution to validate system performance\n\nProvide technical support and training to internal teams and government customers as needed\n\nMaintain compliance with security, configuration management, and changing control processes\n\nAttend daily engineering and program meetings to coordinate integration efforts and report status\n\nMaintain professional demeanor while working in high-pressure environments with senior officials and stakeholders\n\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):\nThis position requires the ability to obtain Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).\n\nBachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement\n\n5 + years of experience with wire harness, electrical and/or mechanical design\n\n3+ years of experience leading technical projects and teams\n\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):\n5+ years of experience in wire harness design, manufacturing and/or integration experience\n\nExperience in manufacturing, specializing in wire harness\n\n3+ years of experience with computer aided design (CAD) tools for the design of mechanical components/assemblies\n\nAbility to lead and understand schematic details\n\nUnderstanding of EMI/EMC separation for wire design\n\nConflict of Interest:\nSuccessful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.\nDrug Free Workplace:\nBoeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.\nPay & Benefits:\nAt Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
