Boeing Fabrication is the internal supply chain supporting Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) and growth across Boeing. We are a team of over 11,000 people located at 18 sites across the world, producing a wide range of components for our aircraft.\nThe Production Engineering department in Sheffield comprises of 5 capabilities providing people, processes and tools in support of production across the facility. These capabilities are: Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Liaison Engineering and NC Programming.\nAs a member of the Manufacturing Engineering team within the Production Engineering department, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects that directly support the Boeing manufacturing processes.\nThe successful candidate will undertake a 12 month placement, starting July 2027. They will work under the supervision of an experienced Manufacturing Engineer, and will be involved in the scoping and delivery of improvement projects in our production system. In addition, they will support the wider team with problem solving, and technical queries from across the facility.\nThe role will require the successful candidate to generate ideas and deliverable solutions. The successful candidate will be expected to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team, and this may involve interaction with other Boeing sites and our suppliers.\nKey tasks will include:\nIdentifying, developing and managing projects across the production system.\nThe application of fundamental engineering concepts to a manufacturing engineering environment.
