Our team focuses on rapid prototyping and precision production of advanced laser and electro-optical systems that satisfy challenging product performance requirements built in accordance with aerospace (AS9100) quality standards.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nAssist in creating and maintaining work instructions, manufacturing process specifications, travelers, and special processes under supervision throughout the product life cycle\nFollow established manufacturing procedures ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations\nUse specialty software applications to update and distribute shop work instructions with guidance as needed\nSupport manufacturing and procurement activities to help meet applicable aerospace quality standards\nHelp prepare and submit change requests for manufacturing procedures and processes, collaborating with senior team members\nAssist in implementing design changes related to new product development builds\nReview engineering drawings to identify discrepancies and provide basic feedback to engineers\nSupport maintaining bills of materials (BOM) for product designs under direction\nParticipate in program, design, material, engineering, and safety reviews as appropriate\nCollect and organize manufacturing and quality data to support continuous improvement efforts\nAssist in compiling build books and tracking first-time build action items\nSupport optimization efforts for facility layouts, production lines, tooling, and test equipment with guidance\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Program Management, Quality, Engineering, and Suppliers, escalating issues as needed\nTrack assigned action items and work with teams to move them toward closure\nReceive mentorship from senior team members and actively pursue professional development\nParticipate in training sessions to develop skills supporting production activities\nContribute to maintaining safe and compliant production environments\nAssist in documenting, dispositioning, and resolving non-conforming hardware issues\nSupport tooling design and acquisition efforts as assigned\nAssist in managing small projects or portions of larger projects under supervision\nProvide support on manufacturing-related proposal activities\nWork with business leaders, engineers, and technicians to support manufacturing quality, schedule, and cost goals\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):\n1+ years of experience working with Supply Chain and Manufacturing\n1+ years of experience with one or more of the following within the Manufacturing Operations function (Shop Floor Manufacturing Operations, Quality, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management)\nLevel 2: 1+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience \nExperience with a Manufacturing, Engineering, and/or Aerospace Domain\nExperience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):\nLevel 3: 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience \nExperience with Product Data Management (PDM) or Bill of Material (BOM) software\nSix Sigma certification\nExperience with aerospace (aircraft/space vehicle) supply chain and manufacturing\nExperience with Computer-aided Design Software (CAD)\nExperience with Geometric Tolerancing\nConflict of Interest:\nSuccessful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process\nDrug Free Workplace:\nBoeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.\nPay & Benefits:\nAt Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
