This role is ideal for a technically savvy Higher Education student seeking a part-time job with a flexible schedule. As a Part-Time Software Application Tester you will perform independent verification & validation of requirements by creating, running, and evaluating manual and automated tests. You will document defects and confirm their resolution.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nSupports the development of software components and hardware-software integration by assisting in the creation and execution of manual & automated test cases to verify software performance and function\nIdentifies and documents defects\nCollects, inputs, and analyzes data for software metrics of limited scope and complexity using established procedures\nUses software tools to troubleshoot problems\nPerforms other duties as assigned\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):\nSoftware troubleshooting experience\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):\nEnrolled in or completed Higher Education\nSTEM background, technical writing\nSoftware programming/scripting experience\nInterview Experience:\nThe interview will consist of up to three steps:\nPhone screen with recruiter\nIn-person group assessment in the SLO office with a tour and time for questions (preferred)A virtual group assessment may be offered if needed\n\nA final virtual personal interview with the hiring manager and a team lead\nDrug Free Workplace:\nWe are a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.\nPay & Benefits:\nWe strive to deliver a total rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
