And when we watch our satellites launch, we know each one of us made it happen.\nWe have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Inspector to join our dynamic team in El Segundo, California.\nThis position’s internal job code is Quality Inspector Sr. Our team is currently hiring for grade 24.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nInitiates corrective actions with our Manufacturing, ATLO, and Engineering teams\nMaintains systems that will assure the quality and traceability of the incoming materials and final products\nInterfaces and/or works closely with Design and Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Procurement and Shipping personnel on procedural issues involving design, methods, tooling, cost and other areas involved in the control of product quality\nMonitors all manufacturing processes through audits and daily evaluations, to ensure that assembly & test operations being performed in accordance with approved specifications and standards\nDocuments discrepancies as they occur during manufacturing & test operations\nIndependently perform verifications and document results in a clear, precise, and complete manner\nSupports in other inspection areas defined by Millennium Space Systems Leadership as business needs require\nDevelops, implements, and audits inspection and test plans, acceptance criteria, and in-process work instructions\nFacilitates root cause analysis and resolution with manufacturing / production area DR’s\nAssists in conducting annual audits and systems surveys\nMakes recommendations to company leadership on the implementation of process improvements on assigned program(s) or product areas\nDemonstrates working knowledge and interfaces of MES systems (JIRA, Costpoint, etc.)\nThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.\nShift:\nThis position is primarily 2nd shift; however, there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):\nMinimum of High School Diploma or GED\nMore than 3 years of experience performing Quality Inspections\nMore than 3 years of experience working with Quality Assurance specifications and requirements\nMore than 3 years of experience documenting corrective actions and non-conformance\nMore than 3 years of experience in working with blueprints, specifications, assembly drawings and standard operating procedures\nMore than 1 year of experience reading and interpreting aerospace engineering drawings and blueprints\nMore than 3 years of experience in setting and using precision measuring tools and equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and/or dial indicators\nCapable of lifting 20lbs or more on a frequent basis\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):\nMore than 3 years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly processes and procedures\nMore than 3 years of experience working with ESD, IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 standards\nExperience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard\nHeld an IPC quality certification\nConflict of Interest:\nSuccessful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.\nRelocation:\nRelocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
