This is a full-time position primarily based onsite in Gosport to support modification embodiment activities. The BDUK Quality System is certified to ISO9001:2015, AS9100D and AS9110C. The company plans to extend these accreditations to additional sites and continues to react to its diverse business needs.\nThe Quality Specialist will be responsible for supporting compliance to Military Regulatory Publications (MRP) requirements and Aerospace / Industry standards through active engagement, oversight and assurance activities. The successful candidate will become a member of the wider BDUK Quality Assurance Team, supporting all areas of BDUK, reporting directly to the BDUK Vertical Lift Quality Manager. Day to day responsibilities are co-ordinated and managed through a Lead Quality Specialist.\nRole and Responsibilities:\nReview and approval of Engineering Production in support of aircraft/component maintenance and/or modifications\nActing as a Quality Mechanical SME supporting technicians within the maintenance environment (e.g. interpretation of Boeing Drawings / Process Specifications)\nCarrying out mechanical inspections on Chinook CH-47 aircraft\nConducting mechanical inspections on components manufactured in-house under our AS9100 accreditation including performance of First Article Inspections (FAIs) and preparation of Certificate of Conformity (C of C) for release of components\nManagement of non-conformances, ensuring that corrective actions are raised to rectify issues identified providing an effective line of communication with operational staff.\nCo-ordinating Flight Authorisation Certification / Engine Ground Running Certificate activities with Operations/Defence Quality Assurance Field Force (DQAFF)\nAccomplishment of Boeing Quality Assurance checks post maintenance (as required)\nSupporting the BDUK Vertical Lift QA Manager in the preparation for external quality audits and formulation of any resulting action plans\nSupport of the BDUK Quality Management System and its related processes by:\nDocumentation reviews of Quality Processes / Procedures\nMetrics development (as required)\nInternal auditing to MRP and AS9100/9110 standards\nEffective Corrective Action Plan (CAPA) management including:\nCo-ordination & facilitation of Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)\nConducting Safety / Quality investigation (as directed)\nActive participation within Continuous Improvement initiatives\nDirect engagement with functional departments to address any concerns / issues\nSupport company efforts to ensure that deliverables comply with customer, company, quality, industry and regulatory requirements.\nRequired Qualifications:\n- Aircraft or Aerospace Mechanical Experience\n- Have previously held supervisor/2nd signature authorisations (or equivalent)\nPreferred Qualifications:\n- Chinook CH-47 ‘Q’ Qualified or experience\n- Qualified Internal Auditor (recognised standard)\n- AS9100/9110 experience\n- MRP 145 Regulatory Knowledge\nThe Boeing benefits package goes above and beyond, focusing on your physical, emotional, financial, and social well-being.
