The Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems Engineering Team creates the next generation products and services for the BDS business unit. We work with proprietary customers to development the next-generation technologies in space. Our group works all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, proposal writing, requirements and design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments.\nThe Radar Systems Engineer will be a part of a high-performing team that are immersed in high intensity development projects. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to design, develop, and deliver state-of-the-art communication systems for space-based applications for commercial, civil and/or national security programs. This position will work with a highly-motivated team that works with domestic customers on their latest satellite systems. Project assignments typically span the complete program life cycle, from internal trades, concept studies and system definition, to satellite development, launch, and on-orbit operations and test. Additional opportunities available and associated with this role support new business development, research and development, and rapid space technologies.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, and analyze next generation space-based radar payloads\n\nDefine payload requirements and document payload interfaces\n\nSupport conceptual hardware development reviews\n\nDevelop analysis tools using programs such as: MATLAB, Excel, and / or other object-oriented software platforms\n\nSupport new business architecture trade studies and help drive new technology development roadmap\n\nPerform system-level CONOPS development, functional and performance analysis, and requirement decomposition\n\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):\nBachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science\n\n3+ years of work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience\n\nExperience with RF sensor or radar systems\n\nHigh level of digital signal processing expertise\n\nSkilled analyst and/or development experience of MTI algorithms\n\nSkilled in digital signal processing and adaptive phased array antenna analysis.\n\nPreferred (Desired) Qualifications:\n5+ years of work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience\n\n10+ years of work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience\n\nHigh level of understanding in synthetic aperture radar image formation\n\nHigh level of understanding in phased array space time adaptive processing\n\nExperience with MATLAB, Python, and/or C# .NET.\n\nRelocation:\nThis position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
