The ideal candidate brings deep flight test engineering experience, strong leadership skills, and proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, suppliers, military counterparts, and regulatory authorities to deliver safe, timely, and cost-effective flight test campaigns.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nLead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary flight test engineering team (flight test engineers, instrumentation, data analysis, and support engineers)\nPlan, execute, and oversee flight test programs from requirements through reporting, ensuring alignment with program schedules, budgets, technical parameters\nEnsure compliance with FAA, military and other regulatory requirements; coordinate certification activities and regulatory interface as required\nEstablish and maintain flight test safety processes, risk assessments, and enforce a strict safety culture and continuous improvement\nDrive cross-functional problem resolution during flight test execution and in-post flight analysis; escalate and communicate technical status and risks to senior leadership\nDevelop and manage budgets, schedules, and performance metrics for flight test programs; support proposal and planning activities for new programs\nRepresent flight test engineering in program-level reviews and customer/regulatory technical reviews\nFoster collaboration with flight crews, flight operations, systems engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to achieve program objectives\nKey competencies:\nTechnical credibility in flight test and aircraft systems\nTeam leadership, coaching, and talent development\nRisk-based decision making and safety leadership\nProblem solving and data-driven analysis\nThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Settle, WA.\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):\nThis position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).
