The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with application delivery controllers (ADCs), traffic management technologies, and network infrastructure, with deep expertise in F5 platforms and solutions.\nThe ideal candidate combines deep expertise in enterprise load balancing and application delivery with strong architectural, troubleshooting, and automation capabilities. While experience with multiple ADC platforms is valued, significant hands-on experience with F5 technologies remains highly desirable. The candidate should be comfortable leading strategic initiatives, driving technology modernization efforts, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver highly available, secure, and scalable enterprise solutions.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nDesign, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise load balancing and application delivery solutions\nLead the architecture and deployment of highly available, scalable, and resilient application delivery infrastructures\nProvide advanced engineering expertise for F5 BIG-IP technologies, including Local Traffic Manager (LTM), DNS/GTM, SSL/TLS services, and application security capabilities\nDesign and implement local and global load balancing strategies to optimize application performance and availability\nDevelop and maintain traffic management policies, health monitoring solutions, and application delivery standards\nIntegrate load balancing and application delivery technologies into cloud, hybrid, and traditional data center environments\nCollaborate with network, cloud, security, application, and infrastructure teams to align technical solutions with business objectives\nLeverage automation technologies, APIs, scripting, and infrastructure automation frameworks to improve operational efficiency\nMonitor platform health, capacity, availability, performance, and security to ensure reliable service delivery\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex application delivery and traffic management issues\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, configuration standards, and capacity planning artifacts\nProvide mentorship, technical guidance, and knowledge transfer to engineering and operations teams\nSupport incident management, root cause analysis, and continual service improvement initiatives\nResearch and evaluate emerging application delivery and load balancing technologies to support future business needs\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):\n10+ years of experience with network design, architecture, protocols, security, and/or operations for effective network management and implementation\n5+ years of with F5 technologies including BIG-IP modules such as LTM, GTM/DNS\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):\nStrong understanding of Layer 4 through Layer 7 networking principles and traffic management concepts.\nExperience with HTTP, HTTPS, SSL/TLS encryption, DNS, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and Quality of Service (QoS).\nExperience configuring and administering health monitoring, traffic optimization, and application availability services.\nExperience with network monitoring, troubleshooting, and diagnostic tools.\nAbility to analyze and resolve complex technical issues within enterprise environments.\nAdvanced expertise with F5 BIG-IP technologies, including LTM, DNS/GTM, VELOS, VIPRION, and distributed application delivery solutions.\nExperience with modern load balancing platforms such as F5, VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer (AVI), A10 Networks, Citrix ADC, or comparable technologies.\nF5 certifications such as F5 Certified Technology Specialist (CTS), F5 Certified Administrator, or F5 Certified Solutions Expert (CSE).\nExperience with cloud-based application delivery and load balancing solutions across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.\nExperience with Web Application Firewall (WAF) technologies and application security best practices.\nExperience developing automation solutions using Python, Ansible, APIs, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), or similar technologies.\nExperience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Splunk, SolarWinds, or related tools.\nStrong communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.\nExperience leading technical projects and cross-functional engineering initiatives.\nExperience with IT Service Management (ITSM), Incident Management, Problem Management, and ServiceNow.\nConflict of Interest:\nSuccessful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.\nDrug Free Workplace:\nBoeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria are met as outlined in our policies.\nPay & Benefits:\nAt Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
