Louis, MO!\nJoin our dynamic and supportive Quality team! In this role, you will conduct Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) on aerospace products using cutting edge methods including ultrasonic (UT), eddy current (ET), and/or radiographic (RT).\nYou will work with digital and automated inspection systems in an aerospace environment aligned with industry standards and regulations. Opportunities for rapid skill growth and progress depending on performance.\nEmployees will be required to obtain Boeing NDT certification and pass a vision exam. Failure to achieve or maintain certification requirements may lead to termination of employment.\nCandidates must have documented evidence of NDT certification, education and/or OJT hours in UT or RT available for Boeing Level 3 review\nWork Environment:\nMay be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles, smoke (not over OSHA permissible exposure levels).\n\nThis position requires the applicant to work in a radiation environment and involves exposure to radiation. Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of relevant safety and health regulations, protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working atmosphere for self and others.\n\nSafety training and equipment are provided by Boeing in accordance with applicable laws, industry standards, and company policies.\n\nWill be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) applicable to the testing method being used.\n\nAble and willing to stand 90% of the time, stoop, bend, stretch, and engage in awkward positioning.\n\nAble to lift up to 35 lbs.\n\nPosition Responsibilities:\nGuides the development, implementation, or improvement of non-destructive inspection or test techniques.\n\nDevelops, deploys and implements tests or inspections and data collection techniques utilizing evolving technology.\n\nDevelops program specific non-destructive testing documents.\n\nHas the skills and knowledge to interpret codes, standards, and other contractual specifications that control the method used at their Site and/or program(s).\n\nDevelops and implements processes and procedures for new or revised non-destructive testing methods.\n\nAudits, validates and approves systems and techniques of suppliers and processors.\n\nDevelops certification training and examinations.\n\nDevelops innovative test processes and equipment.\n\nConsults suppliers and customers to resolve technical issues involving tests, processes and equipment.\n\nDevelops principles and methods for analyzing test, inspection or statistical data.\n\nConsults on corrective action to resolve process or product anomalies.\n\nParticipates on enterprise and industry teams to influence the standardization and regulation of training and certification requirements.\n\nConducts certification preparation training, capable of providing the necessary guidance and/or supervision to Trainees, Level I and II NDT Certified personnel.\n\nResponsible for non-destructive testing and acceptance of repairs to company products.\n\nAbility to effectively communicate both written and verbal\n\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n\nFormal, documented hours of NDT training/experience or military equivalent\n\nCurrently hold ASNT Level III NDT certification in Ultrasonic (UT), Eddy Current (ET) or Radiography (RT)\n\nMore than 5 years of experience reading, understanding and interpreting engineering technical information (e.g., drawings, handbooks, industry standards and specifications)\n\nMore than 5 years of experience interpreting/developing policies, practices, processes, and procedures as they apply to technical documentation to ensure quality product delivery\n\nExperience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word\n\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):\nMore than 10 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience\n\nMore than 5 years of experience conducting NDT certification preparation training (developing certification training and examinations) providing necessary guidance and/or supervision to Trainees, Level I and II NDT Certified personnel\n\nSkills and knowledge to audit NDT facilities for compliance with applicable requirements.\n\nMore than 5 years of NDT experience in aerospace composite inspection\n\nConflict of Interest:\nSuccessful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process\nDrug Free Workplace:\nBoeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.\nShift:\nThis role may be on first, second or third shift; however, there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives.\nTravel:\nThis position may require up to 5% travel.\nTotal Rewards:\nAt Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
