And when we watch our satellites launch, we know each one of us made it happen.\nJob Summary\nAs an experienced Spacecraft Mechanical Engineer, you will leverage past experience and strong engineering fundamentals to solve our most challenging technical problems in collaboration with other engineers. You will review designs and test plans to validate planning and identify opportunities to reduce cost and risk. Additionally, you will create processes, standards, and engineering tools that are needed and train others in their use. Our team is currently hiring for the Levels 5-6.\nResponsibilities\nHelp set technical direction for the group and beyond\n\nIdentify and create essential processes, tools, standards, and design guides to build a knowledge-base and set best-practices\n\nSupport Responsible Engineering Authorities (REAs) as needed to solve technical challenges, identify solutions, and develop verification tests\n\nAs part of the team’s technical lead engineering (TLE) group, provide technical guidance to programs on an as-needed basis though activities such as attending design reviews and customer meetings, failure review and analysis, and trade study assessment\n\nAudit internal programs and external suppliers to identify industry best practices and opportunities for improvement\n\nServe as a technical mentor for mid-career mechanical engineers\n\nThis position is expected to be 100% onsite.
