The programs we support in St. Charles, Missouri, include JDAM, SDB, MOP, HAAWC, B61TKA and associated derivatives utilized on various military aircraft, some ground-based platforms, and other future contract awards.\nIn this position, you will innovate, develop, maintain and modify mechanical and structural systems and component designs, using 3-D Computer-Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers, and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nAssists to develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.\n\nDevelops, maintains and modifies basic structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools (Such as NX) and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.\n\nUnderstand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T - ASME Y14.5M) standards.\n\nValidate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.\n\nManage supplier development and test and production activities. Coordination with suppliers to optimize design and achieve program goals.\n\nDevelop new design and analysis processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.\n\nMaintain knowledge of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.\n\nCollaborate with cross functional teams to interpret requirements, define interfaces and develop innovative integrated assembly designs using thorough design layouts to produce engineering definition documents.\n\nProvide engineering support throughout fabrication, integration, and test of structure products at suppliers and in-house facility.\n\nDevelop complex equipment and tooling concepts and design solutions for the Production System\n\nInvestigate emerging technologies to create concepts for future product designs, vehicle integration, and testing to meet project requirements.\n\nEnsure compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors, and regulatory requirements.\n\nDevelop, integrate, and document vehicle tooling and equipment integration workflows based on design requirements to enhance productivity during vehicle integration.\n\nThis position is expected to be 100% onsite.
