And when we watch our satellites launch, we know each one of us made it happen.\nJob Summary:\nWe are seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented, and security-minded IT Systems Engineer to join our team at Millennium Space Systems, A Boeing Company. \nIT Systems Engineers are responsible for designing, deploying, configuring, integrating, and maintaining secure enterprise and air-gapped systems with a complex variety of operating systems, software applications, and hardware. \nIT Systems Engineers work with collaborative teams of peers that specialize in providing our customers with technical solutions that are timely, secure, and innovative. \nThis position's internal job is Sys Design & Integ Spec. Our team is currently hiring for levels 3-4.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nPlan, design, install, configure, and manage operating systems (Windows, Linux, Juniper, and Cisco)\nPlan, design, install, and manage the deployment of firmware, software, hardware, and network components\nEmploy security best practices and document designs, diagrams, maintenance, and support procedures for secure environments\nEmploy technical expertise and experience to evaluate infrastructure modification requests \nResolve and document escalated tickets\nDevelop and maintain high availability of infrastructure and systems with expert-level configuration, administration, and optimization of hosts and servers\nParticipate in the design of information and operational support systems\nResearch and recommend innovative and automated approaches for system engineering tasks\nStay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends\nUse technical expertise and experience to provide guidance and mentorship to system administrators when necessary \nAssist end users with accounts, licensing, and application issues when required \nProvide Tier III and below support when required \nFacilitate Tier IV support from vendors \nTroubleshoot and restore complex service operations \nWork with other teams and customers to ensure technological solutions meet security and schedule requirements \nWork with approved vendors to ensure the configuration and purchase of new equipment, software, and licenses are feasible and cost-efficient \nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):\nBachelor's degree and 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.)\nThis position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
