Our current initiatives include developing an integrated test lab for flight hardware, avionics, and\nflight simulators. Major programs include AvionX, C-17 and others.\nAs a Hardware Engineer in BT&E, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of lab hardware and sustainment of new and legacy units. In addition, you will document requirements, develop\nand maintain test articles and interfaces in support of various programs using the lab. Additionally, you will perform seamless hardware and software integration ensuring all systems work harmoniously together to support qualification and provide support in troubleshooting and resolving lab issues of new and legacy test equipment.\nOur teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid-Level or Senior Hardware Design Engineers.\nPosition Responsibilities Include:\nOwn domain-specific hardware architecture, component selection, physical design, and detailed mechanical, electrical, and test engineering\nPerform systems verification through execution of test procedures\nSupport the development and verification of test methods\nDevelop detailed test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition, needed\nundefined\nDevelop solutions to calibration systems problems of limited scope and impact\nDesign test hardware, software and systems to achieve test requirements\nUse analytical tools to verify the design\nAnalyze, process, and format data to customer requirements\nLead hardware preparation, technical artifacts, and clear-to-build criteria for upcoming program milestones, including Hardware SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and FCA/PCA\nReview test data, including off-nominal data, for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to\nundefined\nPrepare and publish test reports to document test results and satisfy requirements\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):\nThis position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship\nBachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement\n3+ years of experience with electronic hardware testing and troubleshooting\n3+ years of experience working in a laboratory environment\nExperience dealing with various wiring design drawings including system interconnects, wire routing and equipment installation drawings\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):\nLevel 4: 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience\n3+ years of experience working with electrical data bus interface standards (Ethernet, MILSTD-1553, ARINC 429, RS-232)\n3+ years of experience with generating electrical/wiring drawings using AutoCAD or Visio\nExperience in mechanical design and CAD systems (NX, Team Center, CATIA)\nDirect experience with hardware configuration control and requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, TeamCenter)\nDirect experience in developing hardware verification plans, test procedures and test environments, as well as executing the test procedures and documenting test results\nDeep engineering skillset spanning mechanical, electrical, and test disciplines, with proven experience performing system design, architecture definition, and performance modeling\nExperience in the creation of Statement of Work and estimates, plans, schedules and corrective action\nStrong track record of leading hardware development and working with cross-functional engineering teams in a fast-paced environment\nWillingness to travel to test sites and facilities as needed\nDrug Free Workplace:\n Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.\nConflict of Interest:\nSuccessful candidate for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.\nPay & Benefits:\nAt Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage, and retain the top talent.
