# Machine Learning Engineer

Join Boise Cascade's Wood Products Innovation team to develop and deploy AI solutions that improve mill operations. You will support and enhance True Opportunity, our manufacturing optimization platform, while delivering applied machine learning, generative and agentic AI, machine vision, IIoT, predictive maintenance, and process-monitoring solutions across our manufacturing plants. You will work with plant, regional, IT, and external partners to move solutions from proof of concept through pilot and into scalable, governed production use. Key Responsibilities Develop, support, and enhance the True Opportunity (TO) system for the Wood Products division. Design, deploy, monitor, and improve machine learning and AI solutions, from data preparation through production monitoring. Build and maintain data pipelines using the division's Azure data platform. Develop agentic AI and LLM applications using tools such as retrieval, tool use, context engineering, and evaluation. Use AI coding tools while applying strong testing, code review, and validation practices.
