The ideal candidate will have strongexpertisein complex SoC architecture development, performance modeling, subsystem integration, and cross-functional collaboration across hardware, software, and system teams.\nThis role involves defining scalable and high-performance architectures for advancedcomputeplatforms including AI, GPU, multimedia, networking,RISC-Vordatacenter-class SoCs.This is a tech lead role and requireson-site presence in our Sunnyvale office. The ideal candidate must be willing to be an individual contributor while leading others.This role is on-site and requires someone to be local to the Bay Area.\nWhat you'll do:\nDefine top-level SoC architecture and subsystem partitioning for complex semiconductor products. \nDrive architecture tradeoff analysis for performance, power, area, bandwidth, latency, and scalability. \nDevelop and review system architecture specifications, interface definitions, and microarchitecture requirements. \nCollaborate with RTL, verification, physical design, firmware, software, and system teams throughout the development cycle. \nLead performance modeling, workload analysis, and bottleneck identification using C/C++/SystemC or similar modeling environments. \nDefine memory hierarchy, NoC/interconnect strategy, coherency architecture, and cache structures. \nEvaluate and integrate third-party IPs including CPU, GPU, NPU, PCIe, DDR/LPDDR, Ethernet, multimedia, and security subsystems. \nWork closely with verification teams to define architectural test plans and validation strategies. \nSupport silicon bring-up, debug, performance tuning, and post-silicon optimization. \nContribute to long-term technology and product roadmap planning. \nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. \n10+ years of experience in SoC architecture, ASIC development, or complex semiconductor system design. \nStrong understanding of modern SoC architectures and subsystem integration. \nExperience with one or more of the following: \nCPU/GPU/NPU architectures \nNoC/interconnect architectures \nCache coherency protocols (CHI/ACE/CXL) \nHigh-speed interfaces (PCIe, UCIe, Ethernet) \nMemory systems (DDR5, LPDDR5X, HBM) \nPower/performance optimization \nStrong knowledge of RTL development and verification methodologies. \nExperience with architecture modeling and performance analysis tools. \nFamiliarity with firmware/software interaction in complex SoC systems. \nExcellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with AI accelerator, GPU, networking, RISC-V or datacenter SoC architectures. \nExperience with chiplet-based or multi-die architectures. \nFamiliarity with advanced process technologies and package integration. \nExperience with emulation, FPGA prototyping, and system-level validation. \nKnowledge of Linux drivers, runtime software, or system software architecture. \nPrior technical leadership experience across cross-functional engineering teams. \nTechnical Skills\nSystem architecture definition \nC/C++/SystemC modeling \nPerformance analysis and simulation \nRTL and microarchitecture understanding \nAMBA/AXI/CHI protocols \nPCIe/CXL/UCIe \nMemory subsystem architecture \nHW/SW co-design \nSilicon bring-up and debugging \nCompensation Range: $275,000-$360,000per year (California).
