We are a global organization focused on working together with a team spirit.\nThe candidate will be responsible for Avionics Systems Engineering across all Bombardier Aircrafts and new aircraft development programs including Aftermarket and Defense\n What are your contributions to the team?\nIn your role as an Avionics Systems / Engineering Professional, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the development, testing, certification, production, and in-service support of Avionics Systems of state-of-the-art business aircraft.\nMore specifically:\nDefine and manage engineering-related system and subsystem requirements to ensure safety, certification & aircraft design requirements and objectives are met\nWork with the system suppliers as well as other interfacing suppliers and disciplines to ensure the system is properly designed to be integrated smoothly on the aircraft\nBe responsible for the timely integration of systems, such as AFCS, Communication (VHF, HF, SATCOM, Datalink), Navigation (ADF, VOR, ILS, DME, TCAS, Transponder, IRS, GPS, FMS, Weather Radar), Displays (EFIS, EICAS, HUD, SVS), Information/Maintenance & Recording (IMS, OMS, Data load, CVR, FDR, AHMS), Cabin connectivity, on the aircraft.\nReview, analyze and approve the test results\nConduct and support ARP4754 system and aircraft verification and validations\nManage, review and approve the deliverables of the Avionics System Suppliers.\nLiaise with Certifying Authorities and/or support their delegates in achieving system certification.\nSupport any engineering design related issues and bring them to closure\nParticipate in the development and implementation of software for customization of crew alerting logic and synoptics pages, I/O configuration into an IMA environment, and automation of aircraft-level functions.\n How to thrive in this role?\nAs our ideal candidate,\nYou hold a university degree in Electrical, Electronics, Software, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.\nYou have at least 8 years of relevant avionics integration experience.\nStrong knowledge of Avionics Systems.\nYou understand how these systems integrate and interact with the overall aircraft.\nKnowledge and/or Experience in Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) systems (Asset).\nYou have knowledge with the specification, design, integration, test, and certification of Avionics systems on aircraft.\nYou are familiar with the industry standards DO-178, DO-160, DO-254 and ARP4754 (Asset).\nYou have strong communication skills (verbal and written).\nYou have excellent problem-solving skills, work planning structure and prioritization.\nYou can work well in a team environment.\nThis position has a hybrid work schedule and requires mandatory 2 days per week in the Bombardier office in Toronto.\n\nThe base salary for this position is expected to range from CAD $125,000 to CAD $150,000 per year.
