Your ideas are our fuel.\nWhat are your contributions to the team?\nIn your role, you will:\nAct as an Aircraft Loads Applications Lead: elaborate mid to long term plans and coordinate their execution by supporting and providing technical leadership, mentoring, and training to a team of Aircraft Loads Professionals\nAnalyze complex Aircraft Loads problems and organize technical reviews to resolve complex investigations\nContribute to growing the Loads engineering Knowledge Domain by proposing the approaches and techniques to improve the efficiency and fidelity of aircraft loads simulations\nUse engineering judgment on selecting the appropriate methods, techniques, and tools in resolving complex issues\nLead interface with other engineering disciplines such as Flight Characteristics, Structures, Mass Properties, Systems, Fly-By-Wire, Landing Gear and Flight Test\nPerform analyses and simulations to compute aircraft design loads, in support of new aircraft design studies and continued airworthiness of in-service aircraft,\nReview FEM models to compute airframe design loads, component design loads (high lift and control surface)\nPerform dynamic aeroelastic response analyses for tuned discrete gust and continuous turbulence with and without the effects from fly-by-wire\nDefine restrictions and special instructions for flight test procedures based on loads and dynamics analyses\nProvide Loads support for both flight test and in-service AOGs\nDocument analyses and findings in engineering certification reports\nSupport Aircraft Landing Gear development, analysis and test\nHow to thrive in this role?\nAs our ideal candidate, you possess:\nA Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (advanced education is considered an asset)\nA minimum of 10 years of experience in external loads analyses in the aerospace industry\nStrong understanding of the FAR 25 certification requirements and regulatory standards\nDeep expertise in static and dynamic aeroelastic loads analysis\nProven ability to develop finite element models (FEM), compute airframe and component design loads (e.g., high lift and control surfaces) and perform flutter and aeroservoelastic analyses\nHands-on experience with Nastran for dynamic and aeroelastic analysis; familiarity with DMAP is a plus\nSolid knowledge of FEM principles, unsteady aerodynamics, and frequency-based data analysis\nFamiliarity with linearization of controls laws for use in TDG, PSD gust, and aeroservoelastic simulations\nStrong understanding of engine fan blade-out and windmilling dynamic loads analysis\nExperience working in flight test environments, including data collection and correlation between test results and analytical predictions\nGood knowledge of flight test instrumentation (e.g., strain gauges, accelerometers, pressure sensors)\nAdvanced programming skills in MATLAB, Python, Fortran, C/C++, and scripting in Linux/Windows environments\nExcellent organizational skills with the ability to plan and execute tasks within budget and schedule\nStrong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills (written and verbal)\nAbility to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities\nBombardier Aerospace is an equal opportunity employer and encourages women, Aboriginal people, persons with disabilities and members of visible minorities to apply.\nWhether your candidacy is moving on to the next step of the hiring process or not, we will keep you informed by email or by phone.
