We are a global organization focused on working together with a team spirit.\n What are your contributions to the team?\nIn your role as Sr Technical Expert, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the development, testing, certification, production, and in-service support of Avionics Systems of state-of-the-art business aircraft.\nMore specifically:\nDefine and manage the overall systems and subsystems requirements to ensure safety, certification & aircraft design requirements and objectives are met.\nDefine avionics requirements / interfaces from cockpit concepts to systems architectures.\nDefine the installation of the avionics systems on the aircraft.\nParticipate to Technical Reviews and Conceptual Discussions on avionics suite(s) / systems.\nWork with the system suppliers as well as other interfacing suppliers and disciplines on the program to ensure the system is properly designed to be integrated smoothly on the aircraft.\nBe responsible for the timely integration of one or few systems, such as AFCS, Communication (VHF, HF, SATCOM, Datalink), Navigation (ADF, VOR, ILS, DME, TCAS, Transponder, IRS, GPS, FMS, Weather Radar), Displays (EFIS, EICAS, HUD, SVS), Information/Maintenance & Recording (IMS, OMS, Data load, CVR, FDR, AHMS), on the aircraft.\nWrite, Conduct or Witness development and certification tests on rigs and/or the aircraft.\nReview, analyze and approve the test results.\nConduct and support ARP4754 system and aircraft verifications and validations.\nManage, review, and approve the deliverables of the Avionics System Suppliers.\nLiaise with Certifying Authorities and/or support their delegates in achieving system certification.\nUnderstand Avionics Operational and Flight Deck concepts including IMA-based architectures\nSupport the Final Assembly Line and In Service Aircrafts for any design related issues and bring them to closure.\nParticipate in the development and implementation of tools and processes as needed by the function to meet our organizational objectives.\nParticipate and familiar with Systems Center of Competence concepts and activities\nAct as a technical advisor for the management team in one or multiple subsystems\n How to thrive in this role?\nAs our ideal candidate,\nYou hold a University Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Software, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.\nYou have a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in the field.\nStrong knowledge of multiple Avionics Systems.\nConsidered to be an industry subject matter expert in at least one subdomain of Avionics Systems.\nYou have knowledge with the specification, design, integration, test and certification of Avionics systems on aircraft.\nYou understand how these systems integrate and interact to the overall aircraft.\nYou have the ability to influence the technical direction of a solution.\nYou are familiar with the industry standards DO-178, DO-160 and ARP4754 (Asset)\nKnowledge and/or Experience on Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) systems (Asset)\nYou have worked for a known avionics suite supplier in your career\nYou have strong communication skills (verbal and written)\nYou have excellent problem-solving skills, work planning structure and prioritization.\nYou have the ability to work well in a team environment.\nYou are willing to travel.\nThis position has a hybrid work schedule and requires mandatory 2 days per week in the office (Montreal or Toronto).\nBombardier is an equal opportunity employer and encourages people of any race, religion, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, immigration status, disability, or other applicable legally protected characteristics to apply.\nWhether your candidacy is moving on to the next step of the hiring process or not, we will keep you informed by email or by phone.
