What is this role about?

As the Head of CRM & Lifecycle Marketing at Bondora, you'll own the strategy behind how we engage, retain, and grow our existing customers. You'll lead our CRM function, driving lifecycle marketing initiatives that increase customer activity, repeat borrowing, and long-term value.

This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role where you'll work closely with Product, Data, Engineering, Risk, and Country teams to build personalised customer journeys, optimise performance through experimentation and AI, and continuously improve how we connect with customers across every touchpoint.

Your work will directly influence some of Bondora's most important growth metrics, making this one of the highest-impact roles in the business.

Your main responsibilities

• Own Active Customers and Active Balance per Customer: deliver against quarterly targets for both metrics, using lifecycle, reactivation, repeat-loan, refinancing, and add-on initiatives as the levers under direct ownership. Returning applications, originations, and channel ROASare the key driver metrics to monitor and influence
• Orchestrate Bondora's customer-level engagement system: own the data → decision → orchestration → delivery → outcome → data loop across owned digital surfaces, direct messaging channels, paid media audience syncs, and support surfaces.
• Lead and develop the team: coach and lead three team members while remaining a hands-on leader yourself, in line with Bondora Functional Lead’s expectations.
• Drive cross-functional partnerships: acquisition, product, analytics, engineering, legal, risk, and country managers. Drive prioritisation toward decisions.
• Analyse, learn, iterate: feed performance insights back into model retraining, rules tuning, and channel optimisation.

What would ensure success in this role?

• 8+ years hands-on lifecycle/CRM/retention marketing, fintech or recurring-revenue models preferred.
• Direct experience working a retention function in a scale-up.
• AI fluency: Comfortable using AI tools to improve segmentation, campaign optimisation, workflow automation, and marketing insights, with strong judgment on where human oversight is essential.
• Deep expertise in direct channels (email, SMS, WhatsApp, push) across segmentation, automation, performance optimisation.
• Hands-on with modern automation platforms (Braze strongly preferred; Iterable/SFMC/HubSpot acceptable).
