The ideal candidate will be an expert Xero user, comfortable working independently across transactional accounting activities, and confident identifying opportunities to improve and automate finance processes. Experience with Commpay would be advantageous but is not essential.\nResponsibilities as a Junior Accountant\nProcess supplier invoices accurately and efficiently in Xero.\nPerform regular bank and account reconciliations.\nPrepare and set up payments for approval.\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.\nInvestigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.\nSupport the month-end close process as required.\nAssist with balance sheet reconciliations.\nPrepare and post journals where required.\nMaintain supporting documentation for financial transactions and reconciliations.\nIdentify opportunities to streamline and automate recurring finance processes.\nSupport improvements to existing Xero workflows and accounting procedures.\nAssist the wider finance team with ad hoc accounting and reporting requirements. Qualifications as a Junior Accountant:\nMinimum 3-4 years' experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar finance role.\nExpert-level Xero experience is essential.\nStrong experience with invoice processing and bank reconciliations.\nExperience preparing or setting up supplier payments.\nWorking knowledge of journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end processes.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy.\nComfortable working independently and managing recurring deadlines.\nGood problem-solving and process-improvement mindset.\nStrong written and verbal English communication skills.\nGood Microsoft Excel skills. Desirable\nPrevious experience using Commpay.\nExperience improving or automating finance and accounting workflows.\nExperience supporting an international or financial services business.
