Boom has been profiled by Inman, Business Insider, HousingWire, and more.\nOpportunity\nController\nAs Controller, you’ll own the accounting and financial operations that keep the company running as we scale to $20M ARR and beyond\nYou’ll work to automate the accounting tech stack - building A/R agents, A/P agents, and intelligent workflows that eliminate manual work and accelerate insight.\nWe’re open to two profiles: a Sr. Manager ready to step into a Controller seat and prove themselves through AI-driven execution, or an experienced Controller who is genuinely hungry to go deep on AI - and can show it. Either way, you must be excited about building, not just running, the accounting function.\nThis role is based in Austin, TX and reports directly to the CFO\nWhat You’ll Do\nOwn all aspects of accounting operations, including monthly close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.\n\nManage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with GAAP and ASC 606.\n\nOversee revenue recognition, contract setup, and integration of billing data from Stripe etc.\n\nPrepare for the company’s first audit for FY2026, ensuring systems and documentation are audit-ready.\n\nDesign and deploy AI agents for A/R, A/P, and reconciliation workflows - building automations that reduce manual touch points and accelerate the close.\n\nEvaluate, implement, and maintain automation and AI-based tools to improve close speed, accuracy, and financial visibility.\n\nManage expense and card program operations, including policy enforcement and spend analytics.\n\nPartner with the CFO on system selection (Transition from QBO to Rillet, Campfire etc.), integration, and rollout of FP&A and reporting platforms.\n\nSupport the development of scalable accounting and finance infrastructure to grow with the business.\n\nCollaborate cross-functionally with RevOps, Finance, and Go-To-Market teams to align processes and data flows.\n\nWhat You Bring\nCPA or equivalent experience managing audit processes and ASC 606 compliance.\n\n5-8 years of progressive accounting experience in SaaS or technology companies.\n\nExperience leading or owning a financial close process.\n\nStrong understanding of SaaS metrics and revenue recognition principles.\n\nHands-on experience with AI tools -
