The backend is primarily API-driven, connecting external systems, processing transactions and events, and storing application data in MongoDB.\n\nWe value engineers who are passionate about developer platforms, enjoy solving integration challenges, and use Claude and other AI-powered tools to accelerate development.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nDevelop and maintain backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js.\n\nDesign and implement REST APIs and integrations with third-party services.\n\nIntegrate payment infrastructure providers such as Bridge and similar fintech or crypto platforms.\n\nBuild backend workflows for international payments, stablecoins, and crypto-related operations.\n\nWork with blockchain APIs, on-chain transactions, and transaction status monitoring.\n\nDesign and maintain MongoDB schemas, data models, and persistence logic.\n\nImplement webhooks, background jobs, asynchronous workflows, and reliable error handling.\n\nEnsure data consistency and reliability when processing payment and blockchain events.\n\nDeploy, maintain, and monitor backend applications and services on AWS.\n\nApply security best practices when handling sensitive financial data and transaction workflows.\n\nUse Claude and other AI-powered development tools in daily engineering tasks.\n\nCollaborate with the team on architecture, implementation, and technical improvements.\n\nRequirements\n\nStrong experience with Node.js and TypeScript.\n\nPractical experience building backend services with Express.js.\n\nExperience with MongoDB and database design.\n\nProven experience integrating third-party APIs into production applications.\n\nGood understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, authentication, and asynchronous processing.\n\nExperience deploying and maintaining applications on AWS.\n\nUnderstanding of crypto, blockchain fundamentals, and on-chain transactions.\n\nFamiliarity with financial transaction workflows, error handling, and data consistency.\n\nHands-on experience with Claude or similar AI coding tools.\n\nAbility to work independently, troubleshoot complex integrations, and take ownership of backend features.\n\nNice to Have\n\nExperience with fintech, international payments, or cross-border payment systems.\n\nPrevious experience integrating Bridge or similar payment and crypto infrastructure providers.\n\nKnowledge of stablecoins, crypto wallets, blockchain APIs, and transaction signing.\n\nFamiliarity with Ethereum and EVM-compatible networks.\n\nExperience with smart contracts, blockchain event indexing, or transaction monitoring.\n\nFamiliarity with AWS services, queues, background workers, and distributed systems.\n\nExperience building developer platforms, public APIs, or SDKs.\n\nBasic familiarity with React or Next.js to support full-stack collaboration when needed.\n\nWho We’re Looking For\n\nWe’re looking for a practical, AI-first backend engineer who uses Claude to accelerate implementation, explore solutions, debug issues, and improve code quality without blindly relying on generated code.\n\nYou enjoy building backend systems that connect external APIs, process financial data, and interact with blockchain infrastructure.
