Working closely with the Data Migration Lead, HR stakeholders, Project Manager, Solution Architect, HCM Systems Integrator and incumbent HR platform suppliers, the role is responsible for analysing, defining and managing data migration requirements, data mappings, data quality activities, archival requirements and reconciliations required to support successful implementation.\nThe Business Analyst will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring that data migration requirements are clearly understood, documented and traceable throughout the programme lifecycle. The successful candidate will have strong experience of enterprise data migration programmes, complex data analysis and stakeholder engagement.\nKey responsibilities:\nWork with HR, IT Suppliers and programme stakeholders to understand data migration and archival requirements.\nFacilitate workshops, data discovery sessions and mapping activities, translating business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications. \nDefine data quality, validation and reconciliation requirements, ensuring they are complete, traceable and aligned to programme objectives. \nFacilitate analysis of source system data structures, data models and business rules. \nDevelop and maintain source-to-target mapping documentation.\nPartner with Systems Integrator and incumbent suppliers to validate mapping and migration outcomes. \nSupport testing, defect triage and business validation activities and assist with migration rehearsals, cutover planning and go-live preparation. \nEnsure requirements support GDPR, security and data governance standards.\nSupport audit, compliance and reconciliation activities, maintaining traceability between requirements, mappings, test cases and migration outcomes. \nCommunicate complex data concepts in business-friendly language. \nWhat you'll need to have (our must-haves):\nStrong experience as a Business Analyst on enterprise data migration programmes involving multiple source systems, complex data landscapes, multiple suppliers and implementation partners. \nMinimum of 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst. \nDeep understanding of requirements analysis, data analysis and data migration methodologies. \nDeep understanding of data discovery, profiling, data mapping, and ETL concepts.\nExperience producing high-quality requirements, mapping specifications and process documentation. \nAbility to thrive in fast-paced, complex environments and manage multiple priorities.\nAbility to balance business requirements with technical and delivery constraints. \nIt would be great if you also have:\nExperience delivering HR transformation or HRIS implementation programmes.\nFamiliarity with global HR deployments across multiple geographies.\nWhere your brilliance can take you:\nAt Boots, your career growth is a priority.
