Reporting to a Lead Business Analyst, you will be responsible for working with members of the Supply Chain function and the wider organisation to jointly define with them the high-level scope, objectives and requirements for some major upcoming projects in that area. Please note this role will start on the 18th January 2027.\nKey responsibilities:\nEngaging with business stakeholders across supply chain and the wider business to capture clear requirements and translate these into structured documentation such as user stories, use cases and acceptance criteria.\nFacilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to identify pain points, business requirements and opportunities. \nMapping existing \"as-is\" to improve bottlenecks and opportunities for improvements. \nDesigning optimised \"to-be\" processes to enhance efficiency.\nWorking closely with technical teams to ensure process designs integrate effectively with other supply chain systems such as our forecasting & replenishment AI-driven solution. \nUsing modelling techniques to visualise and communicate processes to technical and non-technical stakeholders. \nAct as the bridge between the business and technology teams to ensure shared understanding and smooth delivery. \nCommunicate complex ideas in a clear and accessible way, tailoring messages to different audiences including senior leaders, on-the-ground staff and technical specialists. \n What you'll need to have (our must-haves):A natural curiosity and drive to really want to understand the business process to which the solution is to be applied.\nCan get to the real nub of the issue, beyond how people first describe the problem.\nComfortable to challenge the perceived wisdom and request evidence (facts and data) to support what they are being told.\nA track record of bringing clarity of thought to complex and potentially initially vague situations.\nGood ability to grow professional work relationships with a variety of stakeholders.\nEvidence of over five years of experience of using industry best practise BA tools and techniques.\nA good all-round appreciation of how IT is leveraged in successful UK Retail companies.\nIt would be great if you also have:An understanding of supply chain systems in the retail environment.\nExperience in leading the pre-delivery requirements stage of a project that is subsequently delivered by a third-party software house.\nExperience working within Agile and Waterfall environments, understanding how the BA role differs across methodologies.\nFamiliarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, BPMN.\nExperience supporting QA activities, including reviewing test cases and participating in UAT.\n Rewards designed for you:Boots Retirement Savings Plan (Up to 6%)\nDiscretionary annual bonus\nGenerous employee discounts\nEnhanced maternity/paternity/adoption leave pay and gift card for anyone expecting or adopting a child\nFlexible benefits scheme including option to buy additional holiday, discounted gym membership, life assurance, activity passes and much more.\nAccess to free, 24/7 counselling and support through TELUS Health, our Employee Assistance Programme.\nThere's lots more in our benefits and discounts, MyBoosts - there to give you that little lift in your everyday.
