We organise our data engineering and data products around specific business domains. These data domains are extensive, covering areas such as Pharmacy, Supply Chain, Digital, Products, Opticians, and more.\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nBuild and maintain data pipelines that support business decisions.\nWork within a multidisciplinary squad focused on domain- and project-delivery.\nDevelop and manage a self-serve data platform for various business areas.\nCollaborate with the Lead Data Engineer on existing data pipelines.\nKey responsibilities:\nBuild and maintain data pipelines that support business decisions.\nWork within a multidisciplinary squad focused on domain- and project-delivery.\nDevelop and manage a self-serve data platform for various business areas, including Pharmacy, Supply Chain, Digital, Products, and Opticians.\nCollaborate with the Lead Data Engineer on existing data pipelines.\nWhat you’ll need to have (our must-haves):\n2+ years of hands-on data engineering experience in analytics and/or data science environments.\nStrong skills in SQL and Python.\nExperience with large-scale data solutions on Microsoft Azure and Databricks.\nExperience with Spark or distributed compute frameworks.\nProven experience in building and maintaining data pipelines and warehousing solutions.\nKnowledge of dimensional modeling is preferred.\nIt would be great if you also have:\nExposure to BI/MI, ML, AI, or data engineering automation.\nUnderstanding of modern data engineering principles and practices.\nExperience working in agile delivery teams and comfortable with end-to-end ownership of work.\nKnowledge of Retail or Pharmacy data domains.\nWhere your brilliance can take you:\nAt Boots, we believe in your potential.
