The role ensures that projects are delivered consistently, risks are effectively managed and value is maximised from capital expenditure.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nThe Engineering & Projects Coordinator supports the delivery of safe, compliant and cost-effective engineering, facilities management and capital improvement projects across the Boots estate. The role provides essential project coordination, financial control, governance and contractor management support to ensure assets, infrastructure and facilities remain operational, legally compliant and aligned to business requirements. Your role will involve:\nCoordinating the delivery of engineering, facilities management and infrastructure projects from concept through to completion \nSupporting the development of business cases, project briefs, cost estimates and investment proposals to enable informed capital planning. \nMonitoring project performance, risks, actions and financial performance, producing regular reports and management information. \nCoordinating cross-functional facilities and engineering improvement projects involving internal stakeholders, contractors and service providers. \nManaging and coordinate third-party project delivery partners, to ensure projects are completed safely, compliantly and in line with agreed standards. \nOverseeing and coordinate planned condition assessment programmes. \nSupporting the delivery of energy reduction, sustainability and asset improvement initiatives \nMaintaining project governance documentation, financial records, project trackers, dashboards and management reporting. \nSupporting procurement, tendering and contractor selection activities \nEnsuring projects are delivered in accordance with health, safety, environmental and statutory compliance requirements \nWhat you’ll need to have (our must-haves)\nExperience within Facilities Management, Building Services, Engineering or Property.\nExperience managing outsourced contracts and holding suppliers accountable for performance and service delivery.\nUnderstanding of capital project delivery, budgeting, contractor management and project governance.\nExperience coordinating multiple projects and workstreams within a complex operational environment.\nFamiliarity with large operational estates, including the challenges of ageing infrastructure and critical assets.\nKnowledge of asset lifecycle management, condition surveys and remedial work planning.\nUnderstanding of commercial and procurement processes, including tendering, cost control and performance management.\nAbility to analyse asset, project and performance data to support investment and planning decisions.\nWorking knowledge of Health & Safety, contractor control, risk management and statutory compliance.\nStrong organisational, written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\nIt would be great if you also have\nExperience working for a leading FM service provider (e.g. CBRE, JLL, Mitie, ISS or equivalent).\nExperience of large, complex sites with extensive infrastructure and asset management requirements.\nKnowledge of CAFM systems and data-led asset management practices.\nWhere your brilliance can take you\nAt Boots, we believe in your potential.
