The Opportunity:
As an Avionics Engineering Manager, you understand the acquisition process behind complex Naval systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to designing and integrating missile systems. We’re looking for an avionics engineering manager who can use their skills to manage the acquisition Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process in support of complex systems.
At Booz Allen, you’ll use your engineering skills to transform Mission Systems requirements to improve system performance and sustainability. Our team supports Mission Systems in working with OEMs to improve performance and integrate advanced technologies into existing platforms. That’s why we need you, an avionics engineering manager, well versed in acquisition, to help us design and develop future technologies within the avionics discipline.
You’ll work with existing teams to understand the current challenges and work with OEMs to redesign, develop, and integrate upgrades to improve the warfighters' competitive edge. You will assist in augmenting designs and algorithms to better system performance. You Have:
- 10+ years of experience in Naval avionics engineering or acquisition
- Experience with managing cost and schedule metrics
- Knowledge of avionics systems and systems integration challenges
- Ability to work with a team of engineers to modify designs and improve system integrations to improve warfighter capabilities
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with modern Navy avionics systems
- Experience with the SETR acquisition process
- Knowledge of contracting mechanisms and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) reporting
- Knowledge of the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process and test techniques
- Ability to analyze avionics designs and provide technical inputs to improve performance and integration ease
- Top Secret clearance
- Master's degree in an Engineering or Science field
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
