Data Engineer
The Opportunity:

As a data engineer, you know that organizing data can yield pivotal insights when it’s gathered from disparate sources. We need an experienced data professional like you to help our clients find answers in their data to impact important missions, from fraud detection to cancer research to national intelligence.
As a data engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll use your expertise to help build advanced technology solutions and lead data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You’ll guide data engineering activities by overseeing the development and deployment of pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful.
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with AI model engineers, network and cloud architects, the ISSE, and othertechnical leaders to guide the development of scalable, mission-aligned data pipelines. You’ll apply your expertise in data engineering, exploratory analysis, and feature development to shape how datasets are assessed, designed, transformed, and maintained for AI/ML workloads. While supporting a cross-functional technical environment, you’ll help ensure high-quality, well-governed data flows that enable reliable model performance across operational, research, and enterprise systems.

You Have:
- 6+ years of experienceas a data engineer
- Experiencevalidating or normalizing datasets and developing schemas
- Experienceimplementing dashboards and metrics for data and pipeline monitoring
- Experiencebuilding automated ETL workflows and pipelines for data processes
- Knowledge ofdata governance practices
- Ability todesign, implement, and maintain data pipelines
- Ability tomonitor and improve pipeline performance in coordination with operations teams
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- HS diploma or GEDand 6+ years of experiencewith data normalization and data pipelines, or Bachelor’s degreeand 4+ years of experiencewith data normalization and data pipelines
Nice If You Have:
- 10+ years of experienceas a data engineer
- Experiencewith cloud environments such as AWS or Azure
- Experiencesupporting data cleaning or orchestration for AI/ML solutions
- Bachelor’s degree
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
