We need an experienced data engineer like you to help our clients find answers in their data to impact important missions, from fraud detection to cancer research, to national intelligence.

As a data engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You’ll deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful.

Here, you’ll work with and guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. You’ll use your experiencein analytical exploration and data examination while you manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients. You Have:

• 3+ years of experiencedeploying, configuring, and maintaining enterprise software and data systems in secure, air-gapped, or disconnected environments
• 3+ years of experiencebuilding and maintaining ETL or ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data
• 2+ years of experiencein Python and SQL for data manipulation, automation, and pipeline development
• Experiencewith distributed data systems
• Experiencedeveloping RESTful APIs in Python to support data ingestion and integration workflows
• Knowledge ofthe Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), secure deployment practices, and data security controls
• Ability towork on-site and operate independently in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF)environment with limited connectivity
• TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

• 3+ years of experiencebuilding enterprise data engineering solutions in the cloud, including cloud-native technologies from AWS and Azure
• Experiencewith relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Elasticsearch, to support deployment and configuration
• Experiencesupporting classified data systems for the Department of Defense or Intelligence Community
• Experiencewith cross-domain solutions and data transfer guard technologies
• Experiencesupporting data lake and data warehouse architectures
• Experiencewith data modeling, metadata management, and data quality frameworks
• Experiencewith IAM, encryption, and security controls in cloud or on-prem environments
• Experiencewith Palantir Foundry or similarenterprise data platforms
• Knowledge ofcontainerization or container orchestration technologies
• Possession ofexcellent verbal and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
