Data Security Engineer
The Opportunity:
As a senior data security engineer on our team, you’ll be integral to architecting, deploying, and operating security solutions across various DoW clients in the Indo-Pacific. You’ll use your extensive knowledge ofdata security tools and endpoint detection and response (EDR)to monitor, detect, and respond to potentially malicious cyber behavior that could compromise data, systems, or the mission. You’ll create standard operating procedures and configurations for optimal Zero Trust security posture. You’ll coordinate with multi-discipline Zero Trust engineering team to recommend enhanced design and operations. You’ll also mentor the next set of advanced cybersecurity engineers to help them grow into our nation’s front line of defense.

You Have:
- Experiencedesigning, deploying, and configuring data security solutions
- Experiencewith Elastic for visibility and analytics
- Experiencewith Data Loss Prevention (DLP)tools such as Forcepoint, Trellix, or Symantec
- Experiencewith cyber event analytics and workflow
- Experiencedocumenting and diagraming workflow processes
- Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
- 5+ years of experiencedesigning, deploying, and configuring data security solutions
- Experienceworking in federal, DoD, or IC agency environments
- Experiencemanaging and maintaining containerization solutions
- Knowledge ofVirtru Data Security Platform (DSP)and Kafka
- Knowledge ofTrusted Data Format (TDF)and Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC)
- Knowledge ofSplunk or Microsoft Sentinel
- Knowledge offederal information security policies, standards, procedures, directives, and frameworks, federal security authorizations, assessment, and risk management processes for enterprise systems
- Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degreein an IT, Cybersecurity, or Engineering field
- CISSP, GSE, CASP+ or similarAdvanced Security Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
