Mechanical Engineer

The Opportunity:

Apply engineering physics, engineering mathematics, and materials science principles to support the design, analysis, manufacture, or maintenance of mechanical systems. Apply advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise, including full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction, and mentor and supervise team members.

You Have:

• 6+ years of experiencein hardware design, analysis, and prototyping, including ruggedization and design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA)
• Experiencewith 3D modeling in SolidWorks
• Experienceleading a functional task team and collaborating with an integrated product team, including technical and non-technical teammates
• Experiencewith multiple manufacturing technologies and approaches, including traditional subtractive manufacturing techniques and additive techniques
• Experiencewith product design for manufacturability, reliability, and maintainability
• Experiencewith product ruggedization for extreme environments
• Knowledge ofbasic engineering and physics principles as they apply to hardware design and product development, including material science, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, mechanics of materials, basic physics, statics, kinematics, and thermodynamics
• Knowledge ofthermal mitigation techniques and analysis methods for packaged electronics
• Ability toobtain a Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree
