Test Engineer
The Opportunity:
When a user tries new software, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experienceare key to successful software development-and that means rigorous testing. That’s why we need you, an experienced test engineer who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible.
As a Test Engineer on our team, you’ll use your experienceto work with developers and engineers to evaluate software developed for the Army and Booz Allen. You’ll create a test plan with test cases based on user stories. Using manual and automated processes, you’ll generate data and implement the test cases to observe how the software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool.
You’ll automate continuous security and performance testing and monitor the health of development systems and RF equipment. This is an opportunity to supercharge your skills by writing the code to test. You’ll also broaden your experiencein RF effects and system integration to create a system of systems and gain skills in new areas such as capability development and refinement while sharing your testing experiencewith your team.

You Have:
Experienceinterpreting requirements to produce relevanttests
Knowledge ofHSI test standards
Ability tocommunicate with clients to schedule and administer TRL testing requirements
Ability toobtain a Top Secret clearance
Bachelor's degreeand 3+ years of experiencebuilding test plans, assessing system requirements, and producing test reports, or 8+ years of experiencebuilding test plans, assessing system requirements, and producing test reports in lieu of a degree
Nice If You Have:
Experienceinterpreting SIGINT to add operational fidelity to development and testing
Experienceconducting testing on Army test ranges
Knowledge ofRF concepts
Knowledge ofembedded and FPGA development
TS/SCI clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
