In this role, you’ll apply modern systems security engineering practices, analyze vulnerabilities, and recommend mission-focused solutions that strengthen the resilience of critical naval systems.\nWhat You’ll Work On:\nAnalyze and develop system security solutions throughout the lifecycle, including integration, testing, operations, and maintenance. \nEvaluate system vulnerabilities, perform security assessments, and support risk mitigation planning aligned with DoD and Navy requirements. \nApply knowledge of cybersecurity engineering principles, network security, protocols such as TCP, IP, DHCP, and DNS, and network design processes. \nSupport systems security testing and evaluation, reviewing design artifacts, and identifying security gaps. \nProvide cybersecurity recommendations based on threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging risks. \nCollaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to achieve secure system configurations and resilient architectures. \nContribute to documentation, briefs, and technical reports supporting system accreditation and cyber readiness. \nJoin us. The world can’t wait.\nYou Have:\n5+ years of experience in maritime or defense systems, including surface ships, submarines, carriers, unmanned surface vehicles (USVs), unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs), ROVs, sUAS, cUAS, or C4I platforms\n3+ years of experience supporting Navy acquisition, fleet introduction, in-service engineering, sustainment, or lifecycle readiness for maritime systems\nExperience with cybersecurity-by-design principles, RMF, NIST guidance, CNSSI 1253, and secure systems engineering practices applied to operational or autonomous systems\nKnowledge of networking concepts, including LAN, WAN, bandwidth management, protocols, and directory services, applied to shipboard, expeditionary, or unmanned platform networks such as mesh networks, tactical datalinks, or LEO connectivity\nAbility to identify, analyze, and mitigate cybersecurity risks across system architectures, payload integrations, autonomy behaviors, or control systems for maritime platforms\nSecret clearance\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Naval Architecture\nDoD IAT Level II Certification such as Security+, CySA+, or CCNA Security Certification\nNice If You Have:\nExperience with Navy afloat systems\nExperience with RMF policies and procedures for Navy systems\nExperience with Zero Trust implementation in DoD systems and software\nKnowledge of Navy afloat cybersecurity challenges\nMaster’s degree in a technical field \nDoD IAT Level III Certification\nClearance:\nApplicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.\nCompensation\nAt Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
