UX Strategist and Researcher
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a UX Strategist and Researcher to lead user-centered research and experiencestrategy for digital twins and Unity-based applications. You will identify user goals, workflows, and pain points and translate those insights into clear experiencedirection for multidisciplinary teams.
In this role, you will collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and product teams to define research objectives, manage expectations, and ensure user insights shape product and design decisions. You will produce core documentation such as engagement plans and findings reports as well as maintain continuity through design-development tracking and coordinated handoffs in a fast-moving environment.
This position requires autonomy, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability tomanage upwards while influencing strategy. You will also mentor colleagues and support the continued growth and maturity of our UX practice.

You Have:
3+ years of experiencein UX research or product design
Experiencecommunicating ideas across cross-functional teams operating in an Agile environment via working sessions, stakeholder engagement, and design reviews
Experienceusing Figma ecosystem and the judgment to apply AI tools appropriately
Ability toplan and conduct user research, including discovery, interviews, usability tests, and field studies, translate insights into artifacts, including personas, stories, and flows, and design recommendations for complex, enterprise-level applications
Ability toobtain a Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree

Experiencewith Unity-based applications, including AR, VR, XR, digital twins, or simulations
Experiencewith spatial UX, data visualization, and design systems
Experiencementoring or influencing team direction
Knowledge ofaccessibility and compliance standards such as W3C or 508

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
