Not just a job but an opportunity!\nResponsibilities\nDiagnose, troubleshoot, and take corrective action / repair of industrial machinery preventing costly down-time\nPreventive, Predictive and Corrective Maintenance\nLubrication, inspecting, adjustment and calibration\nInstallation and fabrication of project upgrades for new systems & equipment\nReading and understanding mechanical blueprints\nTroubleshooting different systems and equipment including; motors, gear reducers, mixers, extruders, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, steam systems, bearings and similar systems and equipment associated with a compounding and extrusion line.\nMig, Stick or TIG welding for repairs and small fabrication projects\nInstallation and repairs of piping systems\nGeneral troubleshooting of electrical motors and systems from 12V up to 480V\nTroubleshoot and repair automated machinery, knowledge of level sensors, temperature sensors and temperature controller, pressure sensors, limit switches, optical sensors and flowmeters\nUse a wide range of tools and equipment:\no Power & Hand tools\no Variety of truck lifts\no Jacks and hoists\no Technical manuals and references\no Measuring devices (squares, micrometers, calipers, voltmeters, ammeters), etc.\nMinor facility related maintenance and repairs\nInteraction with all departments, in improvement team-based activities and often dealing with people in crisis situations (equipment breakdown, power outages, etc.).\nAbout you\nMinimum High School Graduate or GED\nTrade school training in any of the above areas is preferred\nKnowledge of steam systems and possession of a NJ High Pressure Black Seal Boiler License is a plus\nStrong sense of safety awareness, GMP and PPE practices\nGood Reading, Math Skills and Basic computer skills\nStrong understanding of bearings, power transmission equipment and rigging\nMechanical Aptitude\nElectrical Power Distribution and Controls Systems Experience is preferred\nStrong understanding of all classes of motors (DC and AC), pumps, air compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems\nFamiliarity with 3 phase, single phase and DC motors\nWriting Skills for Documentation of Maintenance Work\nExperience working in a millwright environment\nWillingness to accept overtime and call-in on short notice\nWillingness to take training courses or on the job training program to improve skill level\nAny combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described including related work experience in one or more of these trades\nOur offer\nBorealis has competitive compensation and benefits which you can read more about on our Career Page.\nFor this role in Port Murray, NJ we also offer:\n3 weeks Vacation\n13 Paid Holidays\nMedical and Dental Coverage from first day of employment\nBonus\n401K Match\n$29 - $35/hour depending on experience\nApplication Process\nIf you're excited about the prospect of joining our team and being a part of Making It Real, please submit your application via the “apply now” button in the job posting to apply directly.\nIf you have any questions, please contact Janet Young ().\nWe reserve the right to close this vacancy for further applications when we have received sufficient applications that meet the advertised requirements and will contact you as soon as screening is closed.\nAt Borealis, we are committed to an equal recruitment process.
