The ideal candidate takes initiative, challenges the status quo, and develops solutions to complex problems in a team environment.\nReporting to the Accounting Manager at BorgWarner’s corporate headquarters, the Accounting Analyst will work across the global organization and gain exposure to a broad range of accounting activities and business processes. The role also provides visibility to executive leadership and opportunities to strengthen accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for Accounts Payable and General Ledger processes, analyze performance trends, and recommend opportunities for improvement.\nSupport month-end and quarter-end close activities, including account analysis, variance investigation, and timely resolution of identified issues.\nPrepare recurring and ad hoc journal entries, including accruals, and other general ledger adjustments.\nPerform monthly intercompany reconciliations and collaborate with trading partners to resolve out-of-balance items and ensure intercompany accounts are reconciled.\nPrepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations, research reconciling items, and coordinate the resolution of outstanding balances.\nRespond to audit requests and ensure activities are performed in accordance with established internal control procedures.\nAdminister Accounts Payable system configuration such as expense approval limits, hierarchy tables, user changes, and approval workflows.\nSupport General Ledger and Accounts Payable teams in resolving payment returns and rejections.\nAssist Accounts Payable in maintaining vendor master records, including creating new vendors profiles, establishing payment methods, and reviewing all vendor accounts to ensure accuracy and complete information.\nReview employee expense reports, monitor account delinquencies, and support administration of the corporate credit card program.\nSupport cross-functional projects and initiatives, including financial reporting, system implementations, process improvements, and automation opportunities.\nCross train with key individuals to ensure continuity during peak periods and team absences.\nWhat We're Looking For\n1-3 years of accounting experience with a working knowledge of U.S. GAAP in either a corporate accounting function or public accounting firm\nBachelor’s degree in accounting\nCPA or candidate working towards CPA certification\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power Query, Power BI, or other data analytics tools preferred\nInterest or proficiency in workflow automation and AI tools\nExperience with an ERP system; SAP experience preferred\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment\nCritical thinker seeking to understand the ‘why’\nEager to learn and adapt to new systems and processes\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively\nConcur experience preferred\n-Salary Range:\n$62,000 - $85,250Internal Use Only: SalaryGlobal Terms of Use and Privacy Statement\nCarefully read the BorgWarner Privacy Policy before using this website.
