The engineer ensures that hardware safety requirements are effectively implemented, verified and traced throughout the product development lifecycle. The role also includes definition of hardware safety concepts, safety mechanisms, and execution of hardware safety analyses such as FMEDA, DFMEA and FTA. You will be part of a multi-cultural, multi-disciplined product development team, working on state-of-the-art automotive powertrain electronics for battery electric vehicle and plug-in hybrid mass market.\nFunctional Safety Responsibilities\nLead hardware functional safety activities in compliance with ISO 26262.\nAnalyze and decompose Functional Safety Requirements into hardware technical requirements and hardware architecture design solutions.\nPerform hardware safety analyses including FMEDA, DFMEA and FTA activities.\nDefine hardware safety architectures, safety mechanisms and diagnostic concepts.\nSupport development of Technical Safety Concepts.\nDevelop associated test cases and verify hardware safety requirements.\nReview hardware schematics, architectures and design changes to ensure compliance with functional safety requirements.\nWork closely with System, Software, Safety and Validation teams to ensure successful implementation and verification of safety requirements.\nSupport safety reviews, assessments and functional safety audits.\nWhat We're Looking For\nMasters Engineering degree in Electrical/Electronic or an associated field.\nProven experience in development of automotive safety-related electronic systems.\nStrong practical knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety lifecycle and work products.\nHands-on experience performing FMEDA, DFMEA and supporting FTA activities.\nUnderstanding of hardware architectural metrics including SPFM, LFM and PMHF and diagnostic coverage.\nExperience with safety requirement management, traceability and verification.
