It’s an atmosphere that fosters personal growth.\nPosition summary\nThe Human Resources Generalist assists the local, Ithaca Human Resources team and supports all employees on the Ithaca Campus. This position performs a variety of duties including, recruitment, benefit support, employee engagement, talent & development, and a positive relationship with the operational leadership teams. Passion for customer service is essential to this role.\nKey accountabilities\nCollaborate with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues, attempting to resolve employee relations issues with a detailed approach\nParticipate in company-wide programs and initiatives including but not limited to salary review, workforce planning, organizational change, onboarding, job analysis, new hire and exit processes, selection, performance, inclusion and diversity, and leadership initiatives\nMaintain the relationship with temporary contract agencies and leads temporary /contract employee on-boarding process\nLead outreach efforts including community service and recruitment.\nPrepare job descriptions, and engage in recruitment-related activities including reviewing resumes, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, conducting orientations, and coordinating any temporary staffing needs\nAssist or owns the student cooperative placement and internship programs\nWorks closely with management in the implementation of corporate and campus policies related to human resources and employee development\nRecommend employee relations practices vital to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation\nHelp implement innovative ways, corrective actions, and updates to policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of the department and services performed.\nHRIS input and reporting monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc metrics and reports\nAssist with internal training programs and evaluate the efficiency\nParticipate in employee activities, sponsored events, and special group projects as required\nEducation/experience\nAssociate’s degree+ preferred\nExperience in a manufacturing environment preferred\nHuman Resources Experience - recruitment is a plus\nExperience with UKG Dimensions, Workday a plus\nMicrosoft Office Suite Proficient, advanced Excel preferred\nVisa language (if this applies please leave)\nBorgWarner does provide sponsorship for employment visa status based on business needs.
