We arecurrently looking for a “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as an HRShared ServicesIntern at our Propulsion Technical Center (PTC), in Auburn Hills, MI.\nThis positionwill report to the HR Shared Services Manager and mustbe able to work 20-30 hours a week while enrolled as a full-time student.In this role, the HRShared ServicesIntern willprimarilysupportstudent recruitmentanduniversity relationsactivitiesfor the Propulsion Technical Center (PTC)andWorld Headquarters (WHQ), while also contributing to process improvement, technology enablement, and employee experience initiatives.Responsibilities may include coordinating campus recruiting events, supporting candidate communication and interview scheduling,assistingwith intern/co-op onboarding, andhelpingidentifyways to simplify, automate, and improve HR processes.\nKeyResponsibilities\nSupport student recruitment and university relations activities, including campus recruiting events, candidate communication, interview scheduling, pre-employment coordination, onboarding, and orientation for interns/co-ops.\n\nAssistwith planning and execution of student program initiatives, including intern/co-op engagement activities, program communications, and student experience support.\n\nCoordinate with internal partners such as IT, Facilities, hiring managers, and HR team members to support a smooth student hiring and onboarding experience.\n\nProvide first-level support to employees and students ina timely, professional, and customer-focused manner.\n\nAssist with HR reporting, data entry, records maintenance, personnel file updates, and audit activities to support accuracy and compliance.\n\nSupport HR projects, process improvement efforts, benchmarking, and internal communications as assigned.\n\nIdentifyopportunities to improve HR Shared Services and student program processes by simplifying workflows, reducing manual effort, and enhancing the employee, candidate, and student experience.\n\nExplore and recommend ways toleveragetechnology, automation, reporting tools, and digital communication platforms to improve recruitment coordination, onboarding, program administration, and HR service delivery.\n\nPerform other related responsibilities as assigned orrequired.\n\nWhatWe AreLooking For\nUndergraduate or graduate full-time student attending an accredited college or university, preferably pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Psychology, or a related field.\n\nMinimum 3.0 GPA preferred.\n\nInterest in human resources, talent acquisition, university relations, student programs, employee experience, or process improvement.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with candidates, students, employees, managers, and HR partners.\n\nHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\n\nCustomer-service mindset with strong follow-up, problem-solving, collaboration, and ownership skills.\n\nCurious and comfortable exploring ways to improve processes,leveragetechnology, and simplify work.\n\nHighproficiencyin Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; experience with tools such as Canva,DocuSign, automation tools, reporting platforms, or similar technology is a plus.\n\nAbility to work 20-30 hours per week during the school year and 30-40 hours per week during summer months.\n\nAbility to report onsite at least three days per week.\n\nSafety\nThis position will adhere to Global Star Safety Program, including safety rules, practices and training as outlined in the BorgWarner PTC Safety Policy Manual, which includes the use of equipment, protective devices, or clothing that the employer requires.
