In addition to supporting critical issue resolution, the position plays a key role in\nidentifying systemic weaknesses, implementing lessons learned and advancing engineering best\npractices.\nThis position combines strong technical problem-solving skills with the ability to influence cross\nfunctional teams and drive sustainable improvements.\nKey Roles And Responsibilities\nLead complex root cause investigations using 8D and structured problem-solving methods (e.g. FTA). • Facilitate cross-functional teams in the resolution of customer and internally identified product issues.\nIdentify recurring quality trends and define improvement initiatives.\nDrive implementation of lessons learned and preventive actions across projects.\nSupport engineering teams in improving product robustness, development quality and process compliance.\nAnalyze quality and defect data to identify systemic issues and improvement opportunities.\nContribute to the continuous development of engineering methods and best practices.\nSupport customer communication related to critical product issues and corrective actions.\nProvide coaching and training on problem-solving and product quality methodologies.\nParticipate in defect triage activities for high-priority issues.\nJob Requirements And Qualifications\nMaster’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, with strong experience in the automotive industry, preferably in electric and electronic products.\nGood vehicle-level knowledge is considered an advantage.\nBroad technical understanding across hardware, software, and systems engineering environments.\nMinimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience required.\nStrong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities.\nUnderstanding of systems, software or hardware development processes.\nExperience with root cause analysis methodologies such as 8D, Ishikawa, Fault Tree Analysis or similar approaches.\nAbility to drive technical discussions across multiple engineering disciplines.\nStrong communication and facilitation\nExperience working within engineering V-cycle development processes.\nExperience with ASPICE, ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), and ISO 21434 (Cybersecurity).\nExperience in electric vehicle, power electronics or embedded software development.\nExperience with Polarion, JIRA, or comparable agile planning and engineering tools is considered an advantage.\nAttributes\nSelf-motivated, adaptable, and committed to high standards of performance.\nAbility to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.\nExcellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.\nAbility to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage workload independently.\nDemonstrates respect, professionalism, and an inclusive approach in all working relationships.\n-Internal Use Only:Global Terms of Use and Privacy Statement\nCarefully read the BorgWarner Privacy Policy before using this website.
