Drives process improvements, maintains strong internal controls, and supports operational and strategic financial objectives.\nKey responsibilities\nSupervise and coordinate finance department activities.\nEstablish team objectives, assign work, and monitor performance.\nDevelop and improve financial processes, policies, and internal controls.\nCollaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.\nSupport achievement of financial goals and compliance with BorgWarner policies.\nAssist in the preparation of the plant Long Range Plan (LRP), including capital expenditures, sales forecasts, and cost reduction initiatives.\nSupport the development and approval of Appropriation Requests (ARs), including RSM model preparation.\nServe as key user for OneStream and other designated financial reporting systems.\nCoordinate month-end and year-end close activities, including analysis and reporting.\nEnsure financial records and accounts are accurate and compliant with GAAP.\nLead the monthly capital spending forecast process and monitor project expenditures.\nOversee internal confirmation processes and inventory reconciliations.\nManage and value physical inventor activities and investigate discrepancies.\nServe as the primary contact for tax reporting items; Sarbanes Oxley compliance, and internal audits.\nMaintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, accounting records, and financial reporting systems.\nWhat we’re looking for\nBachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field\nSix plus years of progressive accounting or finance experience\nStrong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and GAAP\nPreferred\nExperience in a manufacturing environment, including cost accounting\nMBA, CMA, CPA or similar professional certification\nExperience with OneStream financial software, SAP and other ERP systems.\nEqual Employment Opportunity\nBorgWarner is an equal employment opportunity employer such that all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identify/expression, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.\nVisa Sponsorship\nBorgWarner does provide sponsorship for employment visa status based on business need.
