We believe the health and safety of our employees are a top priority.\nResponsibilities\nAs a Mechanical Product Engineering Intern, you will join the Plant Testing & Product Engineering Department and support mechanical product engineering activities across product launch, industrialisation and serial production.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nSupporting the analysis of technical drawings, engineering specifications, product requirements and 3D models;\nAssisting with product design reviews, engineering changes and continuous improvement initiatives;\nSupporting the maintenance of Bills of Material, product structures and engineering documentation;\nParticipating in product tear-down, disassembly and material analysis activities;\nCollecting, organising and analysing technical data to support product validation and failure investigations;\nSupporting root cause analysis and structured problem-solving activities;\nAssisting in the review of test results and identification of potential product or material failures;\nSupporting product recovery, remanufacturing and reprocessing assessments;\nCollaborating with Manufacturing, Quality, Supplier Quality, Purchasing, Laboratory and Electrical Engineering teams;\nContributing to technical documentation, lessons learned and knowledge-sharing activities.\nWe are looking for someone who is:\nPursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or a related field;\nAble to interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications and product requirements;\nFamiliar with CAD and 3D engineering tools;\nInterested in product development, industrialisation, validation and manufacturing;\nAnalytical, detail-oriented and motivated to solve technical problems;\nInterested in materials, failure analysis and root cause investigation;\nComfortable working with technical data and preparing clear analyses;\nOrganised, proactive and able to manage different priorities;\nA strong team player with good communication skills;\nComfortable working in multidisciplinary and international environments;\nFluent in English, both written and spoken. \nNice to Have\nBasic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, or GD&T;\nFamiliarity with Bills of Material, ERP systems or product-data management tools;\nBasic understanding of product validation methodologies and engineering change processes;\nKnowledge of material properties and common failure mechanisms, such as fracture, wear, corrosion or degradation.\n-Internal Use Only: Indirect HourlyGlobal Terms of Use and Privacy Statement\nCarefully read the BorgWarner Privacy Policy before using this website.
