Direct and organize preparation of lab materials, supplies, workstations, equipment, computers, and other equipment’s to ensure efficient lab operations.\nResponsible for supervising laboratory employees conducting and overseeing failures analysis activities, collecting, analyzing and interpreting lab results in accordance with company procedures.\nPerform clerical duties, maintaining records and files and compiling data and reports as required.\nMaintain laboratory supplies and materials inventory.\nDevelop and implement systems designed to support assay development, stability, raw material and finished product testing.\nFacilitate the evaluation of new testing applications and instrumentation.\nAdapt and apply laboratory methods, practices, and techniques common to designated area.\nAssist staff, other functions and taskforces by providing guidance to resolve problems with instruments, test methods and use of lab equipment.\nPerform routine maintenance and repair.\nInitiate purchase requisitions, controls expenditures, prepare cost estimates for budget recommendation and submit justifications and requests for capital outlay items. Prepare specifications and analyze bids for purchases.\nPerform all duties to maintain all standards in accordance with company policies, procedures, and core values.\nEnsure safe laboratory conditions including safe and secure handling and storage of supplies and equipment. Recommend, implement, and maintain safety standards and departmental policies and procedures to comply with health and safety rules and hazardous waste regulations.\nAct as liaison with external parties on matters relating to failures analysis lab, metrology lab, testing status, approvals, rejections, documentation status, and any other subject to support all internal departments and customers.\nContinuously ensure the improvement of health, safety and environmental conditions.\nParticipate in the definition, implementation and maintenance of the organization's policies.\nEnsure compliance with environmental, health and safety at work standards, policies and practices in accordance with their level of responsibility.\nDevelop a culture characterized by good professional ethics and involvement in the process among employees in all areas.\nPerform other duties and tasks on assigned special projects and assignments based on unique laboratory needs not included in the activity for which he was hired, when the needs or convenience of the service justify it, for the period necessary for the said needs or conveniences of service.\nRequirements & Competencies\nSecondary education in a related technical area\nPreferably two or more years of experience as Supervisor\nUnderstand how to read electrical schematics and use manufacturers’ product data sheets\nProcure necessary tools, equipment and components for a prototype electronics lab\nAbility to setup and utilize standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, power supplies and digital multimeters with no direction\nAbility to use instrumentation such as thermocouples, RTDs, strain gauges, accelerometers, pressure gauges, and flow meters\nConduct environmental testing (thermal, vibration, humidity)\nConduct ESD Testing\nHands-on approach: Proactively identifies and fills in gaps where needed\nFluent in English\nFluent in Portuguese\nQuality Decision\nManages Conflicts\nDrives Results\nInterpersonal savvy\nManages Complexity\n-Internal Use Only: Indirect HourlyGlobal Terms of Use and Privacy Statement\nCarefully read the BorgWarner Privacy Policy before using this website.
